The Lighter Side Of...

I am very proud to be included in the new book from the MAD gang celebrating the career of Dave Berg, who is most famous for 'The Lighter Side Of...' in the pages of MAD.

'Five Decades of The Lighter Side' is a collection of Berg's great MAD work, and features some of his early brush and ink work - a completely different feel to what he is best known for.  There's also an excellent introduction and Berg portrait by Drew Friedman as well as photos and other interesting tidbits.

In 2002 the 'Usual Gang of Idiots' were asked to draw their own versions of his classic strips after Berg's death.  For the release of this book, some of the current crop of UGOI's were asked to do the same, myself included.  Mine was a little daunting, as I had to draw the entire MAD staff in there!  Please click for a closer look...
