Mice Cream
For me, brush and ink work has become one of the most enjoyable things to do. I used to dread it, but since I've worked more and more in the digital realm, it's left me to actually have fun and be loose with the brush, rather than to draw the controlled lines that many commercial jobs require. Did this little drawing on the couch last night with my trusty Windsor and Newton Series 7 #2 brush* and a dollop of india ink.
I love the retro look the ink wash gives. You just don't see it much these days.
And I couldn't resist giving it a quick drop of (digital) colour this morning, still keeping the vintage flavour...
Thanks for looking!
Cheers, Anton
* I know everyone goes on about these, but they are a super brush. I used to use the cheapo ones, which do a fine job, but I find that these can last for years when treated nice, and give such a great range of line variance.
